When should I contact you once labor begins?
As soon as you think things are starting. You do not need to wait until you are certain. I would rather know early and be kept in the loop!
What if my birth happens very quickly?
Contact me the moment you feel that something begins. I will get to you as fast as I can. If something happens before I arrive,
we can discuss options.
What if labor stalls or goes much longer than expected?
Birth is unpredictable and that is just about the only thing that we can count on as birth workers. If there is a long pause, I might leave for a few hours.
How many people will be in the room with me?
Just me! I work alone.
Will you photograph everything, including clinical procedures?
I will photograph what you want documented. During our consultation, we will talk about what feels right to you,
and I will follow that guidance.
Do you travel for births?
I only travel within a one-hour driving distance from my home in Richmond, VA.
What if we just don't click during the consultation?
That is a-okay. It is one of the reasons I offer the consultation—so we can both make an informed decision about
whether this is the right fit.
Can I share the images publicly?
That is entirely up to you. I will ask during our consultation about your preferences regarding how I may use
images (with your permission) for my portfolio.
